These files are RESTRICTED and unavailable to researchers.
Also known as the References/Referrals series, this portion
of the collection consists of files maintained on individuals
recommended by Rep. Michel for positions on boards, commissions,
and agencies. The vast majority deal with federal appointments,
although other positions are also represented.
The series is arranged alphabetically by the name of the applicant.
Most files contain only a few letters. Staff members Linda Steele
and Michael Johnson maintained these records.
The Robert H. Michel Papers are currently being processed. It
is possible that additional material related to the References
series will be located and added to the series later.
