Bradley University and The Dirksen Congressional Center welcome the Tom and Jean Dirksen Symposium, a day-long series of sessions featuring national public policy experts open to both Bradley students and the Peoria-area community. The panel discussions focus on subjects of interest to students ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. They were selected to help foster policy-focused discussions among students and allow them to question and engage in dialogue with experts in their fields. REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Funding for the symposium comes from a donation by Tom Dirksen, the surviving nephew of U.S. Sen. Everett McKinley Dirksen and a 1953 Bradley alumnus, as well as additional support from the Dirksen Center.
2026 PUBLIC POLICY SYMPOSIUM SCHEDULE
Tuesday, September 15
LOCATION: All sessions will take place in the second-floor ballroom in the Michel Student Center (915 N. Elmwood Ave.), except the final Saund vs. Cochran reception, discussion and sample clip viewing. That will take place in Neumiller Lecture Hall on the first floor of Bradley Hall.
PARKING: Parking for community attendees is available in the Main Street Parking Deck at the corner of Main Street and Maplewood Ave.
